Among the government representatives in attendance were officials from the Badung Regency Tourism Office, the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP), and the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR). Key Responses from Government Agencies

1. Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR) of Badung Regency

  • Reported that land acquisition processes to support infrastructure development and traffic congestion mitigation are currently underway and are targeted for completion by 2027.

2. Tourism Office of Badung Regency

  • Expressed support for stronger coordination with the Bali Provincial Government in tourism sales promotion programs targeting both domestic and international markets.
  • Confirmed that feedback regarding licensing efficiency and convenience will be evaluated and submitted to the Regent of Badung as policy recommendations.

3. Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) of Badung Regency

  • Stated its openness to receiving input from tourism business operators.
  • Clarified that official licensing fees are relatively affordable, generally around IDR 2 million and rarely exceeding IDR 10 million. Higher costs are usually associated with consultant services hired by applicants.
  • Explained that delays in licensing processes are often caused by incomplete documentation or insufficient communication between consultants and business owners, despite the availability of application status notifications within the system.
  • Acknowledged that overlapping procedures still exist within the one-stop licensing service framework and require improved coordination and integration among agencies.

Also attending the event was I Jro Made Supatra Karang, Advisory Board Member of PHRI Bali, Chairman of the Advisory Board of BPP APVA Indonesia, and Chairman of the Advisory Board of DPW MIO Bali (Indonesian Independent Online Media Association).

Through this strategic meeting, the participating organizations expressed their commitment to strengthening communication, resolving business challenges, and fostering meaningful collaboration. The ultimate goal is to advance Bali’s tourism sector, making it more competitive, sustainable, and beneficial to the wider community.
